“Create an illustration of an unfortunate event in daily life. But make it funny.” - Lily Kong’s Weekly Brief

When life knocks you down, turn it into art.

Date
21 April 2020

We hope that, over the last few weeks, the Weekly Brief has been keeping your big old creative brains busy and happy; we’ve certainly enjoyed perusing through hundreds and hundreds of amazing responses. Today’s brief, brought to you by illustrator Lily Kong, will be our last - at least for now. So get your thinking/drawing/collaging/designing caps on one more time as Lily is asking you all to “create an illustration of an unfortunate event in daily life. But make it funny.”

Have you recently run out of toilet roll? Maybe you’ve just eaten two weeks worth of quarantine snacks in one sitting? Or perhaps you’ve been nominated by your brother’s, friend’s, cousin to run 5k? Whatever misfortune you've had, why not recreate it so we can laugh about it together?

Fancy taking part? Here’s the deal…

Upload your creations to Instagram with #ItsBriefThat @itsnicethat.

The deadline is Sunday 26th April 12am.

On Monday 27th of April the It’s Nice That team will pick our favourite submissions to feature on our website and Instagram.

Be sure to keep an eye on #ItsBriefThat and enjoy all the responses to the brief!
