What's On: Sculpting Sound

14 November 2011

The Swiss artist Zimoun is enjoying a solo show in Florida’s Ringling Museum of Art. His installations evoke a natural artifice through sound performed by simple mechanics – mini motors, ping pong balls, cardboard boxes, wires – and repetitive structures that double up as their own amplification arena, each piece creating unique and quite beautiful soundscapes. Showing until January 8, 2012.
