We like to think of ourselves here at It’s Nice That as relatively fashionable. Alright, maybe not that much, but anyway, the point is that we sort of get fashion. And even if we’re not quite sure, we know for a fact that do understand animation.

And that makes us qualified to utter the following statement: Gucci’s latest capsule collection, which is being released to coincide with the upcoming Chinese new year, is slightly…odd.

It turns out that the super-swanky fashion house has looked toward a rarely-discussed cartoon from the very early days of Mickey’s empire for inspiration. The Italian brand has seen that 2019 is the year of the pig and produced a series of garments and accessories emblazoned with illustrations from Disney’s 1933 animation Three Little Pigs. No, we’ve not seen it either.

Gucci has unveiled the capsule collection with an uber-glossy lookbook shot by photographer and filmmaker Frank Lebon.

You can see exactly what Gucci clothes in cute pigs look like if you head to Gucci’s site right here.
