Somerset House announces today a new photography exhibition from fashion photographers Hanna Moon and Joyce Ng, to open next year.

The exhibition, titled English as a Second Language looks to celebrate international fashion perspectives. Asian-born Moon and Ng will present their unique take on Western aesthetic an fashion ideals through exploring ideas of beauty style and taste. Curated by Shonagh Marshall, who bought us Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! the exhibition will explore feeling of being lost in translation —both figuratively and literally — using fashion photography as a way into unpacking the idea of taste.

South Korean born Moon is an artist, photographer and editor, who will be shown alongside Ng, who will explore the surreal environments, inspired by her experience growing up in the formerly colonised city of Hong Kong. The photographs are joy-filled and poetic presentations of high fashion through a global lens, injected with all the humour of the living with English as a second language.

The exhibition takes place at Somerset house and opens on Jan 24.
