Illustrator Rob Hunter’s retelling of The Jungle Book is released with animated teaser

Date

Illustrator Rob Hunter’s adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book has been released today with an animated trailer to accompany it created by Blink Art and Blink Industries. The London-based illustrator was approached by UK publishers Frances Lincoln to create an adaptation of the childhood classic. As well designing the illustrations, Rob has also retold the story in his own words. This is set to be a big year for Kipling’s tale with a live-action film released next month, directed by Jon Favreau.

For the teaser, Rob worked with animator Sean Weston and Blinkink director Elliot Dear to “breathe fresh life into the characters.” Spotting the oppotunity for collaboration, this is set to be the first in a number of original projects by Blink that will see them “tapping into the rich pool of talent found under its roof.”

The Jungle Book has been published in hardback and is out now.
