All photographers observe. It’s what they do. But Paul Kooiker observes in a way that unnerves, scares you a little, makes you wonder whether he’s perhaps watching you right now. His books, all beautifully considered and wonderfully produced, are tiny collections of voyeurism impossible to ignore.
