Graphic design for serious artists courtesy of Parisian studio Bizzarri Rodriguez

It’s been a long-held belief of mine that creating graphic design for cultural and arts projects is more or less the best gig going. You’re given the freedom to push the concepts behind you’re designs to the very limit, the solutions don’t HAVE to communicate to a sprawling demographic that your client can’t quite quantify and (if you’re good at what you do) you’re always making work that promotes creative practitioners that are great at what they do. What’s not to like?

With that in mind allow me to introduce you to the Parisian design duo of Thomas Bizzarri and Alan Rodriguez, or Bizzarri Rodriguez as they like to be known – two guys producing crisp, clean and intensely desirable print projects for a range of fine artists and cultural institutions. They also design beautifully embellished typefaces to adorn their one-off projects. With a portfolio that’s filled with great work themed around poetry, science fiction and conceptual fine art practices, these guys are doing nothing to allay my suspicions that they have the best job in the world.
