Illustration: With hip hop, atheism and skateboard designs, Dominic Owen is back and better than ever

Date
12 August 2013

Peckham-based Dominic Owen is one of the more talented illustrators among my peer group. He’s a young twenty-something creative full of youthful energy, specialising in the creation of vector-based imagery and slightly unnerving characters with piercing eyes, gangly legs and beaks. When he’s not creating illustrations for the likes of Wrap magazine, YCN and Nike, he runs, in his own words, a very mediocre clothing label with fellow illustrator Jasper Dunk.

You get the picture, Dom’s one of those self-deprecating types who won’t accept credit for the noble work he’s producing, but the reality is he’s got his finger in all the best pies and you’re going to be seeing a lot more from him on the London illustration ‘scene’ over the coming years. You mark my words.
