This time last year, Jack Howard was delighted to be chosen for the C/O Berlin Close Up! project giving up-and-coming photographers access to the 61st Berlin International Film Festival. Being the only Brit selected, he was determined to document Coriolanus and its reception in his adopted homeland, but his requests to get into their events were turned down. So, instead, he made a witty series subverting all the glitz and glamour, and recording his struggles to get any glimpse of the stars. A reminder as we enter the media maelstrom of awards season that things are not always that straightforward.
