Marcelo Gomes
One of my colleagues described Marcelo Gomes’ work as “off the chain” and even though I nodded and smiled, I had literally no idea what he was talking about. Then I went to the photographer’s website to see for myself and if I was prone to dropping Urban Dictionary style colloquialisms then I would agree with aforementioned post-chain quality. Quite simply the man is brilliant, with bold, bright and colourful shoots for a host of the biggest names in the business, frequently executed with an impressionistic eye that many attempt and very few get right. We interviewed him in 2009, but my word the Brazilian-born, New york-based talent has got even better if anything.
