While on holiday, Matthieu Gafsou prefers not to relax. Instead, the Lausanne-based photographer spends his time actively seeking out the point at which tourism and nature intersect, before documenting that space with jealousy-inducing powers of technical precision. Gafsou, by capturing the world as he sees it (both visually and politically), is doing what any good, hard-working photographer should be. It’s now up to us to heed his advice by continuing to question our rather adversarial relationship with the landscapes we visit.
