We’re big fans of hero worship here at It’s Nice That and all of us have our personal creative crushes. The fine team at Czech publisher OKOLO have taken that a step further in a bid to celebrate the life and work of Italian designer Carlo Mollino. They have produced a gorgeous book about him, complete with laser-cut paper models of some of his work, and held an exhibition in his honour. As OKOLO’s Adam Štěch put it: “Mollino will be gradually presented as a visionary designer, excellent architect, courageous race driver, fearless acrobatic pilot, style-setting skier, photographer and womanizer. Mollino is a phenomenon.” That’s what we call a tribute.
