Colour and confidence reign supreme in illustrator Sara Andreasson’s latest work

Hailed as one of our Ones to Watch 2016 back in January, we can’t help but be proud mother hens of our illustrator chicklet, Sara Andreasson. Still exuding that fresh, colourful confidence we’ve come to know her for, Sara’s work continues to surprise and delight us.

Tackling topics like friendship, the work/life balance and lust in this latest update, there’s a cool sassiness to Sara’s work that few achieve with the same kind of aplomb. Lips and eyebrows are voluptuously emphasised in her characters, all of whom have an assured attitude in their technicolour world of warm and complimentary hues.

So far this year, the Swedish illustrator has racked up a string of commissions including the latest issue of Riposte, Lenny Letter and Swedish mag Tecknaren as well as the V&A, Stack Magazines and Monki. Back in May, she released the second issue of BBY magazine, which she art directs and edits with friend and curator Josefine Hardstedt, and sees Sara developing her work further.
