Steam bending wood has come along way since Michael Thonet made his coffee house staple No.14 chair in 1859 but that’s not to say that crafting elegant curves into functional furniture has gotten any easier. Korean designer Dohoon Kim is a success story however with his sound-yet-delicate constructs for chairs and tables using simple arches to spread weight and provide structure.
