Review of the Year 2021: Top 25 News

It has been one hell of a year for creative news. From Hockney sunrises to Burger King’s rebrand, here are some of the best.

If you were expecting a calmer news climate after 2020 – the year that gave new meaning to the word “unprecedented” – 2021 came to prove you wrong. With lockdowns still looming and viewers stuck to their TV screens, stories on Grayson’s Art Club, Rankin’s Great British Photography Challenge and newly hired creative director/Rick and Morty star Jerry Smith took centre stage. Elsewhere in design, the first house ever to be 3D-printed from raw earth hit the top of our most-read chart this year.
