Since its foundation in 2007, It’s Nice That has become a trusted source of inspiration, championing the best of creativity online, in print and through our events. As well as covering inspirational work and projects, we use our creative knowledge and expertise to help brands communicate their messages and products. With this in mind, It’s Nice That is looking for our next team member: a senior creative to focus on delivering our creative brand partnerships and campaigns. You can find the full job ad here, or read on for some initial details.

This role will be responsible for implementing and delivering the creative vision for It’s Nice That’s special projects, delivering brilliant creative work for a breadth of brand partnerships and campaigns, from pitch stage to final outcome. We’re looking for someone experienced at developing ideas for creative projects and someone who knows how to communicate those ideas as well. You should have experience of collaborating with a breadth of creative disciplines and should relish this collaborative process. We’re also looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the creative industry, and media companies and how they operate.

We’ll be keeping our eyes open for proactive, energised and organised candidates, as the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the creative direction for a range of brands in a breadth of creative mediums from digital to physical – many of them large-scale projects. Here are a few examples of the kinds of projects you would get to lead and bring to life.

Creative Canvas

In a series called Creative Canvas in collaboration with TikTok, we commissioned 12 creatives to produce their own TikToks to live in the “TopView” slot of the app. Each was tasked with interpreting a different emotion in order to reflect creativity with humanity and the self-expression that TikTok has become synonymous with.

Indoors Zine

In May of 2020, when the UK (and much of the world) was deep into lockdown 1.0, we worked on a project with Dropbox, the result of which was Indoors Zine. The digital publication featured 20 creatives from around the world collaborating using Dropbox Paper, and discussing indoor living and working.

Double Take

Double Take was a collaboration between It’s Nice That and Coal Drops Yard, a retail and lifestyle destination in King’s Cross, London. We took over the site for six weeks with an installation all about exploration and invention, inspiring visitors to immerse themselves in the unexpected. We designed five playful sculptures with spatial designers Isabel + Helen to bring the brief to life, and also commissioned a digital takeover of Coal Drop Yard’s famed brand identity.

Nice Time Guaranteed

A few years back, we partnered with Timex to design a new watch, updating a military classic with a positive and contemporary twist – and in the process providing the wearer with a “Nice Time Guaranteed”, every second of the day.

New World

A project that’s still on the go, New World is a series of hands-on virtual sessions and Creative Guides. Hosted by Today at Apple and us, the sessions focus on exploring the power of creativity to bring about change, on fostering connection and collaboration, and learning new creative skills to rebuild a better world. We at It’s Nice That collaborated with the Today at Apple team on programming the events and on creating the dynamic visual identity you’ve likely seen across our channels for the past few months.

All in a Day’s Work

From It’s Nice That and Mailchimp, All in a Day’s Work is an animated series of comedy shorts revealing the ups, downs and sometimes-painful truths of life as an entrepreneur or small business owner. We created 12 episodes for the series, working closely with the New York-based studio Buck and the Oscar-nominated animation director Siqi Song.

If you’re right for the role, you’ll also work closely with the It’s Nice That team, and be required to manage and support the growth of permanent creative team members, not to mention overseeing an ever-growing network of freelance creatives and collaborators.
