Hato launches Jean Jullien’s latest book Under Dogs, an homage to our furry friends
Hato Press has published Jean Jullien’s latest book, Under Dogs, an illustrated celebration of our furry friends. The picture book compiles a series of cute, joyous and satirical vignettes showing dogs getting up to mischief, embarrassing their owners, and demonstrating the characters of the canine world.
“I’ve also always loved the expression of an underdog and what it describes in human nature,” says Jean. “The silent, underestimated one, who beholds more than you’d think.”
To celebrate the launch, Hato is hosting a live drawing performance by Jean on 24 May 2017 at Mother in Shoreditch, London, where a limited number of visitors can bring their pet along to take part.
Under Dogs follows two previous Jean Jullien releases through Hato, Holidays and Low Glow.
