With one day left until the polls open for the EU Membership Referendum, a cooperative last minute creative brief has been organised urging pro-remain artists to design and contribute an image reflecting their views on and motivations for staying in the European Union.

Launched in the last 24 hours, the pop-up propaganda project, titled Remain Positive, has received contributions from the likes of Matthew the Horse, Lizzy Stewart, Marion Deuchars and Ben Javens – intentionally left anonymous – each offering in their signature, idiosyncratic styles a thoughtful, positive image to the pro-EU cause.

The team behind Remain Positive says: “We are truly saddened to see the debate conducted as fear vs fear. We feel something terribly important has got lost amid the shouting. So for these last few days, these days in which the undecided will choose the future for all of us, we want to flood to the Internet with these positive arguments.”

As such, Remain Positive is inviting further contributions and submissions to the project on its website or social media using the hashtag #RemainPositive, urging creatives to engage in affirmative argument in the debate before the referendum tomorrow.

Below, a heart-shaped white area contains a handwritten message about British DNA and European cultural diversity, ending with “LET’S celebrate our DIFFERENCES with PRIDE.” The words “Remain Positive” are written in black script at the bottom.
