Rinse announces all-day collaborative art and music event at Tate Exchange
Rinse FM is to join forces with the Tate in an all-day collaborative art and music event taking place on 5 February at the Tate Exchange space, Tate Modern.
The event will begin with an open discussion from Rinse and Barbican Guildhall, reflecting on themes of access, considering the public’s role as museum and gallery visitors.
The Tate Exchange space will play host to the work of Toronto-born and London-based artist Athena Papadopoulos who creates sculptural assemblages, densely layered both materially and conceptually. Throughout the course of the day Athena will create a site-specific performance and installation. Visitors are encouraged to not only attend, but participate too.
The event will culminate in a live performance within the built installation from Stockholm-Based musician, Jonatan Leandoer 127, also known as Yung Lean. It will be Jonatan’s debut UK performance of the project who creates skeletal exploratory tracks paired with abstract DIY visuals, that paint a solitary yet hopeful image.
The collaborative event is free to attend, from 12-6pm on 5 February.
