A group of activist have been given approval by London’s mayor to fly a Trump Baby above the Parliament Square during US President Trump’s visit on 13 July.
The 20ft tall art activism project features tiny hands, a hairy chest, and a large-scale nappy around a reproduction of the US president Donald Trump.
A spokesperson of the Mayor’s office said: “The Mayor supports the right to peaceful protest and understands that this can take many different forms. His city operations team have met with the organisers and have given them permission to use Parliament Square Garden as a grounding point for the blimp.”
Speaking on the project, an activist involved with Trump Baby, Leo Murray, told Sky UK that despite the initial clash with the Mayor’s office, “a huge groundswell of public support” helped to implement it. “[I]t looks like City Hall has rediscovered its sense of humour. Trump Baby will fly!”
Trump Baby will appear between 9:30 and 11:30 at the Stop Trump march which takes place on 13 July.
