Siggi Odds creates beautiful series of Reykjavík-inspired posters using only a smartphone

Phone art is no longer just about drawing a willy on a Snapchat, as proved by Icelandic illustrator and graphic designer Siggi Odds. Reykjavík-based Siggi recently designed this charming series of images using the Doodle Buddy app, which ended up being displayed at his home city’s Norr11 showroom alongside a specially commissioned mural, painted by Skiltamálun Reykjavíkur.

Siggi says: “Greykjavík is a series of images created on my phone, images that I snapped that I felt expressed they greyness of the long Reykjavík winter.”

We first featured Siggi’s work three years ago, when he revealed his love for swimming and watching Frasier; and he’s since impressed us with projects including graphic quilts and Native American-inspired illustrations.
