This year’s East London Comics Art Festival (ELCAF) will take place over three days for the first time, and will boast an identity created by ELCAF 2016 artist-in-residence Jean Jullien.

Taking place from 10 -12 June at the Round Chapel, School Rooms and MKII Gallery in Hackney, this is the Nobrow-run event’s fifth year, and previous editions have run for one or two days. The 2016 edition has expanded to “an entire season,” according to organisers, with satellite events including a workshop for Urban Village Fete and an exhibition at NOW Gallery by Margaux Carpentier for ELCAF, free drop-in workshops at Hackney Central and Dalston Libraries, masterclasses and a joint school programme at the House of Illustration.

The ELCAF Award has also been introduced to “recognise artists and publishers who are excelling in their fields.”

Last year’s event featured the likes of Hato Press and Brecht Vandenbroucke.
