Amid the usual fanfare, the Design Museum’s Designs of the Year 2012 shortlists was released late last week and it was great to see nods for some of the most established designers around, as well as a host of creatives we were lucky enough to cover over the last 12 months. In our midday slot this week though, we’ll be concentrating on some of the most eye-catching projects that made the cut, and those creatives who hope the much sought-after nomination can be the springboard to bigger and better things.
